The edition presented here makes available a collection that Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach himself had already published in this form. The compositions contained in it reflect an important part of the composer's work, whose work is one of the most important examples of early classical music.
The collection, published by Carl Krebs in 1895, was corrected by Lothar Hoffmann-Erbrecht and provided with a revision report. Detailed notes on the ornamentation technique of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach himself round off our edition.
